GOOD HEALTH
It is our duty to conserve our physical powers, our intellectual endowments, our spiritual ideals.
We occasionally lose sight of the fact that life constantly throws challenges at us, puts obstacles in our paths, trips us up in all manner of ways. Shortages of time, money, and space tax us. Our bodies betray us with illness and disease; friends and family let us down; careers disappoint. It is imperative that we keep ourselves strong. When we’re run-down, we cannot always summon the energy to fight. It may not be obvious now, but our children will later come to recognize our choices and habits as healthful ones and adopt them for themselves.
Call to Action: On this day, I will take five minutes to talk to my child about the importance of keeping our minds, bodies, and spirits healthy, and talk about ways in which we might do that together and separately.
