People have to have permission to write, ani they have to be given the space to breathe and stumble. They have to be given time to develop and to reveal what they can do.

Most of us are eager to determine our own political, philosophical, and temperamental style—to define who we are, what we believe, how we think and react to things. In order to find this personal style, we may end up trying on a lot of different attitudes, poses, and philosophies like so many different hats.

It’s okay to explore and experiment, to try on different ideas to see what fits most comfortably. It takes time for people to develop, to see what they have to contribute and find what suits them. Life does not force us to wear one hat all our lives; we have permission to try new ones all the time.

Call to Action: On this day, I will take five minutes to remember the different changes I have gone through up to this point in my life. I will acknowledge that it is okay to change and that there is nothing wrong with going through different phases.
