Let’s pause and consider: Who’s in our corner? Do we have friends who support and encourage our goals? Does our mate offer a hand when we need help and a hug when we need affection?

Whose corner are we in? Certainly, our children should be able to count on our unconditional love. Our mate deserves the same respectful treatment we expect, and our friends may need us to help them through times of crisis and confusion.

Call to Action: On this day, I pledge to be attuned to the emotional balance in my household. I pledge to encourage my child, mate, or loved one to communicate their needs to me, and I pledge to communicate my needs to them.
