WELL-BEING
Hair and teeth—a man got those two things, he’s got it all.
—James Brown
Just a little levity today!
Throughout this book, we talk of the importance of persevering, of being courageous, of working hard toward all our goals. But we ought not to feel weighted down all the time with the seriousness of our tasks and with our personal struggles. We must occasionally step hack to acknowledge how fortunate we are. Even when the hair and teeth are gone—or we can put them on our dresser top at bedtime—we do have so much going for us!
Let’s take the opportunity to acknowledge all the good in our lives—the things that make us laugh and make us proud.
Call to Action: At the end of this day, I will remember at least one good thing that happened to me or consider at least one thing I have going for me.
