STRUGGLE

You cannot fight by being on the outside complaining and whining. You have to get on the inside to be able to assess their strengths and weaknesses and then move in.

Outward appearances are often deceiving. We might look at a company, for example, and view it as a supremely productive monolith. When we step inside and become part of the organization, however, we might he amazed to note its chaos.

We must strive to get inside the door more often—in government, in business, in all sorts of endeavors and organizations—in order to advance. We might learn that it’s often more a person’s will than her ability that enables her to succeed.

Call to Action:  On this day, I will take five minutes to reflect on an obstacle I might encounter in accomplishing my goal. Then I will come up with at least one way around or through that obstacle.
